Worm Care: European Nightcrawlers may lose some weight in shipping because they are shipped in dry bedding, so the temperatures don’t distress them. Remove the worms from the bag they are shipped in and transfer them into a new container with fresh bedding; they will gain their weight back in 2 – 4 days. The worms are shipped in enough bedding for shipping, not enough to live in. Store the live panfish worms at 38 – 78 degrees. They can also be refrigerated. Bedding: Use chemical free peat moss, shredded paper, and water. Add enough water until a few drops of water drip when you squeeze it. Their bedding material also serves as their food source. You can feed them worm chow or table scraps. Shipping: Orders are shipped Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays with UPS overnight. Orders placed after 12:00 PM Central Standard time will be shipped the following shipping day. If weather conditions are hot (75 degrees or higher or cold 40 degrees or less) we may not ship.
